No, this isn't the first Mac app Twitter has ever launched, but it deserves special consideration for a couple of reasons. First, it employs Twitter's redesigned UI, and second, it was created using the Catalyst framework, which allows developers to port iPad apps to macOS much more easily. Apple today released Safari 11.0 for macOS Sierra and OS X El Capitan. The update adds new media-related features, plus improvements to privacy, compatibility, and security. Notably, in Safari 11.

From the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose About This Mac. You should see the macOS name, such as macOS Big Sur, followed by its version number. If you need to know the build number as well, click the version number to see it.

Make sure you’re logged in to TweetDeck with the correct Twitter account. You can check the account you’re logged in with by clicking the gear icon If the displayed account is correct, try refreshing the page.
- Click the gear icon from the navigation bar and select Settings.
- Under the General tab, click the slider next to Autoplay GIFs to turn off the GIF autoplay setting. When autoplay is disabled, you will need to click the play icon on each GIF to view the animation.
- Click Done to save your changes.
